It is an easy and user friendly utility software. It provides the facilities to capture video, get movies, create and add slideshow by importing photos and add music to the slideshows. The utility provide Addition of Sub-menus. There are two ways to create discs with MyDVD The first is by recording directly from a video source to a DVD or VCD and the second is by bringing video, audio, and images into a DVD/VCD project and then burning on a disc from the project. The first method is the quickest and simplest way to create a disc while the second method gives complete control over the disc contents. The music to be added to the slide show has to be prepared to the exact length of the slide show in advance as the songs/tunes cannot be added consecutively to match the length of the slide show. Only groups of 99 photos can be included in a slideshow. Additional side shows have to be created to cover all the balance photos. The burning process is halted if there is any error in reading any file and the cd is ejected. This can happen even when the process is nearing completion. There is no information on which file has caused the fault. This can be a very exasperating and time wasting process. It is essential that the data be carefully prepared for file name sizes and extensions so that there are no problems once the burning process is started. MyDVD supports the following video file formats:
1. MPEG-1 (.m1p, .m1v, .mp1, .mpg, .mpeg, .mpv)
2. MPEG-2 (.m2p, .m2v, .mp2, .mpg, .mpeg, .mpv)
3. AVI Type 1 and Type 2 (.avi). DivX files are not supported.
4. QuickTime movies (.mov, .qt).
